Where the phrase comes from
Telegrass was a Telegram-based cannabis trading platform. On 12 March 2019, after an 18-month covert investigation, Israeli police arrested 42 of its senior operators, and 27 were later indicted. The network did not end there: it fragmented, kept running, and its operators announced its closure in 2023. The name survived as a search term, nothing more.
The lawful route is medical: a physician's request under Ministry of Health procedure 106, a licence from the Medical Cannabis Unit, a matching prescription, and collection at an authorised pharmacy. The register lists 420 dispensing addresses across 120 localities.
Where dispensing is authorised
420 pharmacies nationwide are authorised to dispense medical cannabis, and the split below is by region, not by city.

Can tourists buy cannabis in Israel?
No. Licences are issued to Israeli patients through Israeli physicians. There is no lawful route for visitors.
